| Air Malta was set up in 1973 and started flying operations to six destinations with two-leased Boeing 720's. The company's now operates to around 45 destinations in Europe and North Africa with a fleet of 13 aircraft. Throughout the years Air Malta continued to expand its route network according to the strategy of the airline and the needs of the Maltese Islands. Last year Air Malta carried 1.63 million on its scheduled and charter services, achieving a market share of 56%. Air Malta's primary aim is to establish, maintain, develop and operate air transport services to and from Malta which, by the carriage of passengers and cargo, serve the National interest.

| Heritage Malta is the national agency of the Government of Malta set up in 2002 under the provisions of the Cultural Heritage Act and entrusted with the management of national museums and heritage sites and their collections in Malta and Gozo, including seven UNESCO world heritage sites. Following the recognition of four key aspects of the national cultural heritage, namely management, conservation, interpretation and marketing, Heritage Malta bases all its activities bearing in mind that all our national museums and sites have an important role to play in education, learning, access and the generation of revenue to be reinvested in the heritage sector.
