Teatru Astra is proud to announce a collaboration with Festivals Malta in the production and premiere of Joseph Vella's 'Valeriana' next May.

Vella, who passed away in 2018 leaving the opera, his last masterpiece, unfinished, was Teatru Astra's musical director since its inception, having been at the forefront of some of Malta's major cultural events in modern history.

Known for being 'a man for all seasons' this production will be a highlight in Malta's 2024 cultural calendar, and - yet another proud moment for Astra.

Valeriana is being produced by Festivals Malta and supported by the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government. More information and tickets will be launched by Festivals Malta in the coming weeks.
